So in my dormitory 3 guys where talking but they were so loud that they were yelling, blocking a door in a hallway and I could barely hear my friend at the bottom of the stairs, but when we were up the stairs we were walking right next to each other but I couldn't hear what he was saying, so I mumbled under my breath "I wish they would shut up" but they somehow heard and wanted to know what I said so I told them "I said I wish you would lower your volume because I can't hear him" as I gestured towards my friend, and they said "well maybe you just walked away from us" but the thing was we were walking away and I couldn't hear him after we got up the stairs and I was already not having a good day so I kinda snapped and raised my voice a little to say "we already were and I still can't hear him" and then one guy said "well then you should make us shut up" as he walked towards me and then I walked away, but when we went back down the stairs one called "pussy" and I didn't do anything but later in the hall someone stopped dead in they're tracks and tried to push me into a wall to intimate me I guess it didn't work but later that made a whistling noise behind me and I looked and they just laughed at me So I'm wondering would I be the asshole for mumbling that under my breath?
