My (f19) boyfriend (m22) is jokingly shaming me for ordering 3-4 sides of white cheddar mac n cheese ($4.39 each) saying that it is financially irresponsible. So we go to chili's with my mother, my brother, and my moms friend with my mom paying. They (4 people each order 3 for me deals, ranging from $10.99 to 16.99) and tells me its a waste. As childish as it is, I am very picky with what I eat. I dont like burgers, or really most meats, and I wasnt in the mood for fajitas. He doesnt typically make fun of any of my tastes, he never picks on me for my odd pickiness unless it is a lighthearted joke that I am also playing into, but, for some reason whenever we are at chili's he makes fun of me for getting 3-4 sides of mac n cheese. I argue that its fine because I know I will eat it and its roughly the same price, mostly less, than everybody elses meals here. Nobody else seems to care (im sure its because theyre used to it) but he seems absolutely flabbergasted that I would do anything like this. So tell me, aita or even am I childish for asking for this meal?
