I \[34/NB\] have been living with my roommate \[36(or)37/M\] for about 5 years now. On the very first day of living with him, I had left over pizza crust from the night before (had pizza, cause I just moved in and didn't have any food yet), and I threw out the leftover pizza crust in the trash, and he raised his voice at me for putting in the garbage. My initial thought was that he didn't like food being wasted, but it wasn't till later on that I discovered there was a compost bin in the freezer, but he made no mention of it, so right off the bat, I already got vibes from day one that there would probably be some issues that would arise. I just put it behind me, because I wasn't planning on living here for long. So of course, more things started to happen. Came home from work one day to see some of my antique portraits that I had hung in the bathroom were gone, I looked all over the house and couldn't find them, so I confronted him about it and he said he took them down, because they made him uncomfortable, so I asked him where he put them, to which he said he put them in the spare room, when I finally found them, they were tucked away behind some boxes. I should probably give a little bit of a backstory, I've known this person for over 15 years, and we've never really had any issues before, other than him being a little controlling, due to his anxiety and insecurities. I didn't think moving in with him would have been an issues, considering I wasn't planning on staying for as long as I have. I recently asked him if there was a reason why he was leaving puddles of water on the bathroom counter, and since then, things have gotten a little tense. I should also mention that I haven't really been talking to him much lately, after a conversation that we had about me getting (given to me by a friend for free) and using an AC...without his permission. That past week we've been texting back and forth about our living situation and now he's suggesting that I move out, because of compatibility issues. I've provided screenshots of the texts from this week to give y'all a better idea of the situation, but basically I'm just wondering if I'm the one being the asshole.
