AITA for being hesitant about buying my sister her first car. For a little background I’m 19 recently graduated currently working a pretty high paying blue collar job so I do save a lot but a lot of time I’m working nearly 30 days straight at a time. My sister is 18 a lives with my mother. Her and my mother both are very financially dependent on me and a times have borrowed upwards of $3,000 at once. My mom and sister both expect me to buy my sister a car immediately. I told her I would go half with my mother on a vehicle but due to my mom financials I am being expected to fork the whole bill. My budget is around 3000 which is no problem as I am very mechanically inclined. After telling them my budget I was met with snarky remarks from my mother about so little money being spent. My sister keeps bothering me about buying her a car immediately but I told her she must first prove that she can keep a job for a couple months or ether get her GED neither of which she has done. Now I am being look at as the bad guy. Mind you I’m only 19 saving money to possibly go to college because I know my parents can’t pay for it.
