I had plans with a friend to hang out last weekend. I was really looking forward to it, but I ended up feeling completely exhausted from a busy week at work. I knew I wouldn’t be any fun or able to keep up with plans, so I called my friend to cancel, apologizing and explaining that I'm not feeling well, and just needed to rest. My friend thought i was making false reason and thinks that i don't want to come anymore. He ignored me after i said it. I felt bad that I disappointed him, at the same time I also felt like it was important to prioritize my own health and well being. I want to maintain our friendship, but I also don’t want to feel guilty for taking care of myself. AITA for canceling plans with a friend last minute because I was tired?
