Hi guys I’m 20F. I had a medical transportation job in the past where I made 88k gross. The owner was my dad’s cousin, his wife took a 30k car out 10.55% APR so I can drive for them. I was 19, didn’t have a car before this so it was nice for me too. A year later the company went under. I have been paying 855 a month with no job and the number keeps getting bigger. I decided it’s not in my best interest to keep paying this car. My dad took out another car for me because my insurance was too high on the 30k car. He’s paying the car payment on the not so expensive car. Anyway, I told my parents and they got really really angry at me. They said it’s irresponsible of me to do that and it will look bad on them since they took it out for me (his cousin) so they’re going to do the payments on it instead to not look bad on their part. This makes me feel extremely guilty and everybody has been making me feel like I’m in the wrong. Again the car isn’t in my name and I cannot afford it not this month not the next.
