I (21m) live with my housemate (19f). We have two garbage cans in the one bathroom we share, one with a lid and one without. I told her that she would be in charge of taking out the bathroom garbages when we moved in together, as I don't use them at all. I have a sharps container for my razors, and throw any bandages I use in the garbage in my room, so I see no reason why I should take out her garbage. I do all of the chores in the home except her laundry and her dishes, despite working significantly more than her at a more physical job, so I figured asking her to do this one task was not a bad idea. She agreed, and said she would take care of the bathroom garbages. It has been nearly 5 months since the last time the garbages were taken out (which she had her friend do), and she has not taken out the garbages since despite being asked many times. I have been avoidant of doing it because her hygiene products are in there, and I feel that those are personal and not my responsibility. However, It's at the point where the garbage without the lid is overflowing severely, and the one with the lid is so stuffed that it looks like the lid is barely able to clip on. I have told her twice now that I would get rid of the garbages if she doesn't take them out. I paid for both of the garbage bins and the bags for the bins, so I am not taking her property. WIBTA if I really do follow through on my word and remove them from the bathroom?
