So last christmas my mom died in october, naturally the family was in shambles and everybody was broke from the funeral. I am spoiling everyone this year to justify funding some upgrades I've wanted forever. I’m getting a new camera, mic, computer, phone, buds, mounts, and other stream capture tools. But because I can’t spend money on myself without feeling guilty unless I spend twice as much to make someone else smile, besides my usual donations, this is the Xmas list me and Mr. Daddy (my anchor partner)are arguing over. He says its too much. Its only about twice our usual budget, including all my upgrades. We normally spend about 3k on Xmas, while this budget is for 5.5k. ~Xmas gift list~ My Partner(s): New Power bank New cell phone (galaxy s22) Wallet Quilt set Stocking: Skincare (soap, shampoo, lip balm, antiperspirant, topical pain ointment, razors) My anchor partner gets this +5 adult card games for our board game collection. My sister's kids: Watercolor pencil sets, +6pk of watercolor coloring books, & watercolor paint brushes. + waterproof bluetooth speaker. My sister’s + MIL : more extensive skin care gift baskets that include: perfume, serums, creams, conditioners, uv protection, and bath bombs. Everyone is getting: Ice cleats, hat, Scarf, Gloves, socks, waterproof phone cases, and waterproof ear buds. AITA for needing to spoil other people in order to treat myself? TLDR: I need to spend 3k on the fam for Christmas to justify my selfish spending of 2k on tech upgrades.
