This happened last week but I [26F] haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. My friend [28F] is getting married in the spring and for her bachelorette party she wanted to go to Disney. Initially, she only invited the other bridesmaids because she thought I was "too fat to enjoy myself". She didn't use those words but that was the message. After we talked it out and she apologized, she agreed she'd been in the wrong and paid for my plane tickets. I told her she didn't have to (I'm not a charity case) but she insisted. This becomes important later. Two weeks before the trip, the maid of honor [28F] sent out an itinerary and I didn't really look at it too much beyond the outfit themes for the day. We all arrived and settled in the night before and then day 1 went to the park pretty early in the morning. I swear the itinerary was made to prove that I am too fat. My friends and family said that I'm overthinking it but it was awful. The reservations weren't close to each other for the rides or food, it was 93 degrees out, and we walked 3 miles. I kept up okay but the next day was like 5 miles. At one point, I suggested we go into a store to get out of the heat for a sec. The MOH just snapped at me and told me that I should know it wasn't on the schedule. The other bridesmaids were clearly exhausted too but everyone was too scared to speak up to the MOH. Whatever. I shut up and went with it. We went to a wine bar at the end of the night and everyone was a few glasses in. The MOH came up behind me and sort of shook my shoulders and told me to relax and stop scowling. Sorry I have RBF. To be clear, she and I do not know each other well. She backed off and muttered something about wasting $200. I asked her what she said and she told me that Bride shouldn't have had to pay for my plane tickets to "hear me whine". ????? I'm sorry???? I made maybe two comments about the heat and the distance. And she didn't have to pay for them!!!!! Bride of course tells MOH she's going too far. I tear up a bit and head to the bathroom. I ended up going back to the hotel early. Once everyone got home the MOH and other bridesmaids have been blowing up my phone about how I ruined the trip but I don't think I did? If anything, I swear the MOH tried to set me up to prove a point. She is one of those crossfit people who thinks a few extra pounds means you're a lazy sack of shit. So... AITA?
