Throwaway account here. Hi, my name is Josh and I’m one of the original developers for the Roblox game Grow a Garden. I know this might sound extreme, but I’ve been sitting with this situation for a while and I don’t know what else can be done for a player who’s been treated unfairly. Here’s the backstory: A Roblox user has been locked out of their account since June 2025. Their account was blocked following a single billing dispute: they were the victim of unauthorized charges. Someone used their bank account without permission to buy Roblox currency. The user then did the verifications. Roblox blocked the user, who filed a ticket, did their due verifications with their bank, established their unauthorized charges and established Roblox refunded with details. They were not trying to scam Roblox but they genuinely had their money stolen. Roblox’s response? They shut down their access and began evading their calls for attention for a quarter of the year. Pretty disturbing, right? This is what the user reported in their initial notes. “I am the account holder/bank account holder whose funds were taken. I already showed proof the funds were returned not only by Roblox but also addressed by my bank. This issue was already fixed. Why am I, the victim, being penalized? Are you saying I stole from myself and then reported myself? I only asked for my account access back for something I had no control over. Please see my bank statements and the charges from June 2025. This doesn’t make sense.” The distress messages left, screenshots taken, and yet they won't listen. A person I played with years ago is facing this issue at present. The issue is much more detailed and serious than it appears. Now, Grow a Garden: it's where the issue lies with the person I want to highlight. Time and time again, the community-oriented projects and initiatives worked on by genius developers who also have a heart of gold always kept me glued to them. He has been dealt with wrongfully, and this is something that I cannot simply brush aside. Deployment of influence, even to a small extent, seems to be the only way to shake the ‘robloxians’ so they for once can pull their thumbs out. By choosing this route, I decide to accept the consequence of causing the player base unwitting and unsought trouble. But to honestly speak my heart out, I am at the point where I am forced to think that talking needs to be the only way that Roblox listens to the hard-core issues of the game, which is not just the one game but the entire user's base. So Reddit, AITA for threatening to interrupt a popular Roblox game to stand up for a player who was punished for something they didn’t even do?
