EDIT: Seems a mixed bag of responses. I think comes down to on those few days I might need a bit more sleep he shifts it a little later, which he said he can do since it doesn’t affect his work timing. His issue was I asked he was still sleeping, which is where he thinks I’m in the wrong, and yeah could have waited until we got up and he would have been much more receptive to it and not have reacted like he did. Thanks for your input all Hi, first time posting here My boyfriend (30M) works 9-5 often from home. He gets out of bed between 8:30 and 8:45am, but sets his alarm at 7:45am and then falls back to sleep or go on his phone for a bit. Usually this isn’t an issue because I (29F) work mostly morning shifts (6am start) but sometimes I will work evening shifts (finish 11:30pm) and won’t be falling asleep until midnight. This morning his alarm went off, which woke me up and made me realize I needed to pee. I went to pee then couldn’t get back to sleep. I said to him at around 8:10am, could you not put your alarm so early, it wakes me up. He brushed it off and when I pushed it then he got annoyed because he was still trying to sleep and he ‘can’t believe I would start the day like this’. I left it then but when we got up 30 min later I said I didn’t appreciate how he had responded to what I think is a reasonable request. We got into a whole argument about how I shouldn’t have said it then, and he likes his alarm then. AITA?
